Dr Malcolm Mackay is a General Practitioner with 30 years of experience. He graduated from Flinders University in 1984 and commenced general medical practice in Adelaide in 1985. Dr Mackay was involved with the Pritikin Health Association in the late 1980’s before completing a Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition at Deakin University in 1993. Dr Mackay has a special interest in preventing and managing chronic disease with whole foods plant-based nutrition and only recommends lifestyle measures which are broadly supported by medical research. His interest in nutrition began in medical school when he learnt that many of the diseases that were thought of as age-related, genetic or random were strongly linked to diet and other lifestyle factors. Furthermore, the dietary patterns that were associated with heart disease were the same as those for diabetes, hypertension, bowel diseases and breast and prostate cancers. He prescribes conventional pharmaceuticals when the benefits outweigh the adverse effects. Dr Mackay is a distance runner, snow skier and a competitive athlete, winning the first ever triathlon in South Australia fuelled by “plant power”. He and his nutritionist partner Jenny, co-author the website: Plant Based Health Australia.
Dr MacKay is a GP with 30 years experience, qualifications in Nutrition and is a Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician member of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine
Caution This program is very effective at reducing your weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar level. Please consult with your treating doctor before changing your diet and do not start, stop, or change medication without professional medical advice. This website is not intended to take the place of personalised medical care or treatment and must not be taken as medical advice. Disclaimer & Results To meet our definition of genuine type 2 diabetes reversal, a number of criteria must be met to achieve non-diabetic range blood sugar levels. These include; (a) not requiring any diabetes medications or insulin to be taken. (b) achieving normal range blood sugar levels as measured by 3 blood tests; HbA1c test, the 2 hour glucose tolerance test (GTT) and a fasting blood sugar test. It is only possible to reverse type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes and type 1.5 (LADA) diabetes cannot be reversed and will always require insulin. A small proportion of type 2 diabetes cannot be reversed when insulin production has become insufficient. Results achieved can vary between individuals and depend on many factors, such as degree of compliance with a coaching program, pre-existing conditions, severity of existing conditions and the rate a coaching program is implemented. Refund Policy We will refund all coaching fees if a client does not achieve improvement in their type 2 diabetes as measured by the 3 diabetes blood tests, provided the agreed coaching program is followed and is verified.
